The Ghanaian Times says it is shocked at the sudden turnaround of the Ghana Football Association to dismiss Coach Kwesi Appiah barely two matches into his two year contract. It says the GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi at the time of renewing Coach Kwesi Appiah's contract expressed confidence in him and promised their support to help him to improve his professional capabilities only to be sacked in no time. The paper says it is a shame that Kwesi Appiah is being sacrificed when the entire management team of the Black Stars should be taking the blame for the mess the team is going through presently. 

The Today Newspaper discusses the state of children's health. According to the paper, what needs to be addressed by the current administration and all stakeholders in the health sector is how to tackle children’s health. The paper says apart from stakeholders taking responsibility to support children's health, there is the need for the media to help create the necessary awareness on the need for the country to prioritize it. The paper suggests that government helps to commit more resources into children's health by ensuring that the national budget in the welfare of children is included. 

The Economy Times says investor confidence in Ghana's economy has increased following government announcement to go to the IMF for a bail out. To the paper, Ghanaians should be hopeful of that the short term challenges of the economy will soon be address. 

“Rail Revamp Is Crucial For Economy” is how the Business and Financial Times captions its editorial. According to the paper, the rail network has not seen any major rehabilitation for decades since it was constructed, leaving it as one of the most deprived. The paper says rail rehabilitation is supposed to be extended to enhance delivery of goods and services. It notes that government has taken a major step to revamp the Western rail line with an approved contract by Cabinet for the reconstruction of 262 kilometre of rail line. The paper points out that the rehabilitation of rail system was among the demands Organised Labour made when it embarked on its nationwide strike. It is therefore calling on government to source the necessary funds to improve the sector.
