The Daily Graphic calls on government to put in place enabling environment to attract more investment to maximize profit when the Tamale Airport comes on stream. The paper is of the view that the decision to expand the aviation industry by government is a right one and must be supported by all. Regardless of the prospects, the Graphic thinks the long term benefits of the Tamale Airport Project will not be seen now and calls on the public to exercise patience.

The Ghanaian Times lauds government for initiating a project to expand and upgrade the Tamale Airport, to International Status. The paper says while it welcomes government's plans to build a new International Airport at Ningo Prampam, it is important to make the aviation industry attractive to boost economic activities. The Times thinks the economic challenges facing the North could be turned round when the Tamale Airport project is completed. The paper entreats contractors on the project and the Ghana Airport Company to attach seriousness to the work and complete it on schedule. 

The Heritage attributes the Cholera outbreak in the country to poor sanitation and lack of environmental officers in the communities. The paper sides with the New Juaben Municipal Environmental Officer on the need to enforce by-laws on sanitation. According to the paper, the Environmental Department has over the years failed to prosecute persons who flout sanitation and environmental by-laws. It says the fight against poor sanitation can be won if Ghanaians ensure environmental discipline through education and punishment of persons who flout the law.
