Expert Calls For Establishment Of Silicon Valley To Produce Technology Devices

A Professor in Laser and Optical Physics at the University of Cape Coast, Professor Paul Buah-Bassuah, has called for the establishment of a Silicon Valley where technology related devices would be produced. 

This will help tap basic electronic components needed for technological advancement. 

Professor Buah-Bassuah said it is sad that Ghana makes a lot of noise about technology yet when major electronic devices breakdown it has to import those devices, to repair or replace them. 

Professor Buah-Bassuah was speaking in Accra at the inaugural lecture of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.
