Government reiterates commitment to improving infrastructure in three regions of the north Government has reiterated the need for people in the three regions of the north to co-exist peacefully, as it strives to provide critical infrastructure for the area. The Minister of Roads and Highways, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who said this at the annual Damba festival of the Gonjaland Community in Accra said government is not oblivious of the huge infrastructural gap in the area. He said a number of road projects are being executed. The Minister mentioned the Sawla-Damongo-Fulfulso road which is about 80 percent complete, Bimbila-Salaga road among others, as some of the projects. The Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional branch of the Gonjaland Youth Association, Isaac Alhassan Mahama explained the rationale for organising the durbar and called on government to provide social and economic infrastructure in the area to curb the rural-urban drift.
