ECOWAS Stands in Solidarity with Mali’s Political Crisis - ECOWAS Chair President Mahama ECOWAS Chair President John Mahama, has on the sidelines of the African Union Summit in Malabo,Equitorial Guinea met with the President of Mali Ibrahim Boubakar Keita. He said ECOWAS stands in solidarity with Mali, which has been fraught with political crisis, leaving many dead. President Mahama said the current security situation is being monitored and he is confident the people of Mali will maintain the current Peace and Stability. President Mahama, announced that another ECOWAS meeting will be convened from the 10th to 11th of next month in Accra and Mali will be high on the Agenda. Last Month, ECOWAS Chair President Mahama called an emergency meeting of the Authourity in Accra to discuss escalating terrorists attacks in Northern Nigeria, Guinea Bissau and Mali. GBC
