Call for change of mind and culture of leaders in Africa

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra of the Catholic Church, Palmer Buckle, has called for change of mind and culture of leaders in Africa. 

He said Africa and for that matter Ghana can compete with its foreign counterparts if leaders stand for change, service and perseverance. 

Speaking at the 65th anniversary of the International Catholic Students in Accra, Archbishop Palmer Buckle said the youth have greater influence in every society since they make up 65 percent of the population and are capable of changing the status-quo if they allow themselves to be agents of change. 

The President of the International movement of Catholic students, James Opoku, said though 65 years in existence, more lies ahead for the movement, adding that the movement has been able to organize peace workshops and campaigns to foster the idea of peace in the youth to promote change. 

The week-long celebration dubbed “remain in Christ and rejoice in him always”, brought together students from Nigeria, Kenya and Togo.
