18 People Killed In Central African Republic As Christian Clashes With Muslims At least 18 people have been killed in renewed clashes between Christians and Muslims in the Central African Republic. According to eye witnesses, 17 of the deaths occurred when a mainly Christian militia attacked a village in the north-west. One witness told the media that he had counted 22 bodies, some of them chopped into pieces. Some seven thousand peacekeepers are battling to end the conflict which has displaced about 25 percent of the population.
