Five People Killed In An Attack On The Kenyan Coast

At least five people have been killed in an attack on the Kenyan coast, close to the scene of last week's raids in which more than 60 people died. 

Lamu County Commissioner, Stephen Ikua, who confirmed this described the attack as unfortunate.

Reports say an armed gang descended on the village of Witu, about 15 kilometres from the town of Mpeketoni. 

No group has claimed responsibility for the latest attack. 

Meanwhile, an emergency security meeting has been called to assess the situation.
