CPP Man Murdered In Cold Blood A 64-year-old executive committee member of the CPP, Hayford Akrofi was in the early hours of Monday June 23 2014 murdered in cold blood by two unknown assailants at his residence at Ofankor in Accra. The assailants who shot Mr. Akrofi twice, were also said to have sexually assaulted his two female relatives who were in the house, located on the Osofan Street. Family sources suspect the assailants were robbers but were unsure what they were able to take away. The alleged assailants wore hoods and gloves and escaped after assaulting the ladies and killing the architect, who until his death, was an active member of the CPP. He lived in the United Kingdom and relocated to Accra recently. Mr. Akrofi left behind a wife and three children who still reside in London. The body has since been deposited at Police Hospital morgue in Accra while police say they have begun investigations into the heinous act. GBC
