Women says, Countries are more peaceful and prosperous when accords full, equal rights and opportunities

Countries that are more peaceful and prosperous are said to be those that accord full and equal rights and opportunities to women.

This is however not achieved on a silver platter but by consciously building and nurturing women's participation and contribution to build stronger societies. 

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur said this at the launch of Policy Guidelines on Gender Equality for media and political parties in Accra.
