Judicial service denies reports due to lack of funds The Judicial service has denied reports that it has closed down courts nationwide due to lack of funds. The Judicial Secretary, Justice Alex Poku- Acheampong however admits that the service is seriously cash strapped. He said as a result, the sittings of the court of appeal in Koforidua, Cape Coast and Kumasi have been suspended. In view of this, the judicial service is advocating an amendment of the law to enable the courts to retain at least 50 percent of their Internally Generated Funds instead of the current 15 percent.
