Reduction In Salary Of The Executives  Of The Arms Of Government

The Ministry of Finance has so far realized 327 thousand 263 Ghana Cedis as of last month from the ten percent cut in the salaries of members of the executive arm of government.

The Finance Minister Seth Terkpe announced this in Parliament when he appeared on the floor of the House to answer questions.

 He said the ministry started the 10 percent deductions from January this year and a special account has been opened by the Controller and Accountant General at the Bank of Ghana to receive the money. 

Mr. Terkper also answered questions on the single spine pay policy and operation of bonded warehouses and their impact on the economy.
