36 Bodies Retrieved from Volta Lake Boat Accident

Thirty-six people have been confirmed dead in the accident that occurred on the Volta Lake in the Krachi East District of the Volta Region. 

According to our Correspondent, Micah Tulevo, eight people are still missing. He said the bereaved are still in shock, mourning their dead.

Mr. Tulevo noted that people in some Island Communities have not been wearing life jackets for some reasons, while others only wear them when Law Enforcement Agents insist they do so.

Meanwhile, Volta Regional Minister, Helen Ntoso has visited the Communities to commiserate with them.
