Ghana TV Consortium issues Illegal 2014 World Cup Brazil Transmission warning

The Ghana TV Consortium, the official Licensees of Television and Radio Broadcast Rights for transmitting the ongoing FIFA World Cup Competition in Ghana has warned television and radio stations illegally airing the world cup events to desist with immediate effect.  

The consortium reminds these station that the illegal airing is a criminal offense under the Copyrights Acts and warns that actions including the use of legal tools such as injunctions and suing for damages for infringement of such rights will be utilised. 

The Ghana TV Consortium says it is ready to enforce all rights as enshrined in the Copyright Act,  against all persons who infringe on its rights pertaining to the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil.
