The editorials of most of the dailies centre on the Black Stars crunch encounter with the Yanks of the USA. Coming at the backdrop of two wins against the Yanks the Daily Graphic cautions the Black Stars against complacency but heat the encounter as a final match. 

Adding its voice to the call by the Graphic, the Ghanaian Times urges the Black Stars to take inspiration from the Elephants of Cote D'Ivoire who dominated and beat their Japanese counterparts by two goals to one. This, the paper believes will spur the Stars on by boosting their confidence to beat their other group opponents. 

The Heritage could not have said it more as it ticks the Stars to win at all cost to put them in pole position to go further than what they achieved in South Africa four years ago. 

The Today Newspaper says the Stars must win if indeed they want to qualify from their Group that has football power houses. It says it is the prayer of every Ghanaian that the Black Stars will improve upon their performance four years ago in South Africa. The paper is optimistic that the Black Stars will at the end of 90 minutes emerge victorious and have the maximum points before they face Germany and Portugal. 

The Herald bemoans the state of the nation's roads, most of which are replete with potholes. The paper notes that these potholes cause not only accidents but damage vehicles thereby increasing cost of maintenance. Even those under construction according to the paper still have potholes on the completed portions. To the paper, roads that are built these days cannot stand the test of time, and one wonders the criteria used in awarding these road contracts. It believes the time has come for the contractors to give us warranty of the roads.
