MUSIGA launches Black Stars World Cup Theme song

The Music Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), with the support of Stanbic Bank, has launched the Black Stars 2014 World Cup Theme song ‘Shine-4-Africa.’

MUSIGA, at the launch,  presented a copy of the video to Mr Alhassan Andani, the Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Ghana.

The music is a contribution of distinguished number of musicians, including Kojo Antwi, Noble Nketia, Obour, and Samini,

Presenting the videos to Mr Andani at the launch, the popular Ghanaian musician, Samini,  said ‘Shine-4-Africa’ is a solid song to help the Black Stars push themselves to the limit to win glory for the country.

It is also to whip up public interest to enable them cheer the players when they start their campaign in Brazil on Monday.

“It is a tool to rally the public and the sense of competition. It is also to inspire the Ghanaian players to go beyond the achievements of the last two world cup performances in Germany and in South Africa,” Samini said.

Mr Andani said the theme song would serve as a rallying point for supporters,  and encourage the players to give of their best.

“We believe that all Ghanaians have their eyes set on Brazil and we believe that one of the best ways to rally round the team is through a common song that seeks to unite us in our support,” Mr Andani said.

“We are a major partner in the development of arts in the country. MUSIGA’s initiative is laudbale and worth supporting. Supporting the production of the song is yet another testament of our interest in ensuring that quality creative work see fruition,” he said.

He urged Ghanaians to welcome and embrace the song to support and cheer on the Black Stars to victory.
