The Daily Graphic is happy to note that the Nature Conservation Research Centre, a non-profit organisation, has signed an agreement with the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission and two other civil society organisations to conserve and protect the Sitatunga antelope in the Avu Lagoon Protected Area in the Volta Region. The paper urges the authorities in charge of the project to manage it well to ensure its success.
The Ghanaian Times commends the New Patriotic Party, NPP, for the successful manner in which the party organised its regional delegates congress across the country. The paper hopes the party will take steps to address legal issues in the regions that did not allow some delegates to vote. The Times believes outcomes of the election underscore the fact that politics is about the skillful use of communication to convince others to buy into the ideas in the form of manifestoes. The paper calls on all winners to celebrate in moderation and not be swayed into complacency as the task ahead is tough.
The Daily Heritage agrees with the Controller and Accountant General's suggestion to integrate the Parliamentary Service unto their payroll to avoid the doubles salary issues. The paper says per the law, appointees of government who are MPs are enjoined to opt for either the salary of a legislature or a Minister.
