The Daily Graphic says Ghana's democratic credentials will further deepen with the inauguration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. It is against this backdrop that the paper salutes President John Dramani Mahama for his stewardship as president for the past four years. The Graphic also commends President Mahama for conceding defeat as he hands over power.

The Ghanaians Times also commends President John Mahama for showing support for the incoming President and new government during his last State Of The Nation Address. The Times believes, the posture of President Mahama will give all Ghanaians hope that the country would go through another peaceful transition smoothly. The paper entreats all Ghanaians to rally behind the new government and expects all Ghanaians to reciprocate and give the president-elect support to provide the leadership that would bring development and prosperity.
