The Daily Graphic says public expectations are high as the countdown to inaugurate the new president draws near. The paper reminds the government in waiting to deliver on its promises propagated during the election season. The Daily Graphic asks the incoming President not to take electorate for granted. This is because, voters are now discerning and will not hesitate to show the government the exit when it fails on its promise.

The Ghanaian Times is optimistic Ghana will go through a successful handing over as all is set for the inauguration of president-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. He becomes the fifth President of the fourth Republic. The paper notes the colourful ceremony to transfer power will be attended by number of African Heads of State and representatives of multi-national organisations. The Times in light of this expects the entire nation to participate and also usher in a new president and government. The paper commends organisers of the event and urges all to accord foreign dignitaries and invited guests the proverbial Ghanaian hospitality.
